Now, this is not for you, if you are below 18 years of age.
/*--And In Case U R A Reporter Doing An Article on Kharagpur, Remember All This Is Fiction */
This last year in Kgp is damn boring. Most people are either cramming for CAT or for GRE. Being different, I am completely 'jobless' i.e. no work to do. I am not preparing for any higher study nor am I doing something for my acads.
Life has become very monotonous. Yes, the wingies are there to have fun with. But you won't like to stay at this place for one more year. In this very year, I am marking the drudgery of Kgp the place. It was fun althrough 1st, second and third year; but now its not. Tensions are on the high, with campus placements to begin in Dec 21st. Classes are as uninteresting as ever. Project is working off-tracks. The guide is screwing me like anything and I don't get any interest in the project topic. But cai I help it?
Photography has come as a solace in such times. True, Kgp is a wonderful place and has been instrumental in fabricating the formative years of my life. Planning to capture all hues and colours of Kgp before I go out of this place. The photos above and below are specimen of my hardwork.
There are a lot of things I need to capture before I leave this place...friends, friendship, the insti, illu, op and many more. Travelling is another thing I am planning to do this year. Even though my Daddy has got a lot of transfer in the last ten years (presently in Ranchi), I have been unable to capture 'life'. My appreciation of nature is on the increase as I read through books and novels of nature. In fact, I plan to join an NGO as volunteer if I am posted in a place like Dehra Dun.
And ya, did I tell you about whats going on in my wing now-a-days? Its happening to them exactly as a super-senior, who left this year, had said. The summer training was a livening experience for all of us. Budhou, as usual, fell for another chick -or was it two -and wooed her till the end when he found out she had a boyfriend. He has the achievement, to his credit, of failed attempts at love in nearly all parts of east India. This girl was from Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Others are in Jamshedpur, Ranchi and Patna. Guess what? He is now trying to go global in his effort; Spending more and more time making contacts with Pakistani girls on Orkut. May God bless him with a girl.
Ravi's case is one of contradiction to Budhou's. He has been really lucky with the fairer sex; has declared supremacy in Kolkata, Jam and Ranchi...and even over a girl in Warangal NIT!!
For the rest, one thing can be said in common. Of course, the photos in this blog are self-explanatory. I tend to ponder these days about a theory made by a super-senior, who passes this very year, about frustness and sexuality and its change in India.
In his very words, "All looks gloomy in the first year. In the second year, even campus girls look beautiful. Eyes turn to look and any girl of any age and hue. Friendship takes a new colour in the third year. Some of the freshers also look cool. These are dubbed 'juice'. Final year is the hardest of all. Intimacy increases among friends; you may also say because this is the last year together. And God save the super-final years (dual degree studs) around. In their fifth year, it becomes really tough to abstain from unholy temptations"
