Vidroh: Fast for a cause

To all fellow IITians.

‘Vidroh’ is a peaceful protest for a cause, a dissent against the votebank politics of policy makers of this country that is harming the icons of educational system. This protest has come up in response to the decision by HRD ministry to extend quotas in IITs and IIMs to 49.5%.

This is a protest by IITians and if it bothers you to see our alma mater approaching the doom of its fame, reputation and quality, you can join in.

To join this peaceful protest, please join the ‘Vidroh’ community in Orkut so that it becomes easy for us to organise a mass event.

Secondly, we are planning a fast on Wednesday, the 12^th of April in IIT Kharagpur. The plan is to draw the attention of media towards our concern. This protest will be followed by similar protests in other IITs. But first, we need to make this protest a success. We need to garner a lot of people so as to make it a success. It has to be seen that a majority of hostels have empty mess during dinner time on Wednesday. A few people are coordinating the protest, a detailed list of which will be out tomorrow.
