This blog was meant 2 be cool, n i had intended 2 write all sorts of stupid things here. But since this has been creating all over my work-place, i mean 2 write sumthin serious.
What i hav 2 write is on a really controversial subject. First, let me make it clear that I am an Agnostic by religion...my parents r staunch hindus. I hav never given a damn 2 the Gita, or for that matter Quran, hav a good knowledge of Christ n the Catholics (Thanx 2 the xciting books of Dan Brown). Many of my friends r muslims n I m as amiable with them as ny vegetarian south-indian brahmin. While writin this blog, infact i m chattin with a chick of muslim background.
What concerns me is culture. I m proud of a culture that the VHP talks of as religion. I m proud of the culture that stands out of the world...that is my identity n that which RSS names as nationality. I do feel hurt n outraged everytime i see boundaries of my cultural identity infringed.

i might be picking at the issue, but i cant help feeling sorry for you when you say that u have a good working knowledge of catholics on the basis of the fact that you have read Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. While no one says that whatever he says is completely wrong; it would be wrong to base identities of religions on what mostly is history tinged with fiction. The books are clever in the sense that they have chosen an interpretation of events and happenings which suits the purpose of the story...no veracity can be offered in respect of these interpretations...it is like saying that i know the history of Indian Independence after finishing off Freedom at midnight..
