Another Blast...When will India learn?

29/10: Thats what the new blasts at three places in Indian capital is being called. Yet another blow to our national ego and the only thing our leaders have done till date is "condemn" it. When will our leaders learn the hard way of dealing with these terrorists?

One serious question that these blasts raise is about our intelligence bureaus, the RAW and IB. Almost everything about these agencies are secretive and never divulged -not even the budget. So what exactly are they upto? A Senior official was found leaking crucial info to the US only after he had fled from India. This is the second major attack on our national capital after the one in Parliament house on Dec 13, 2003 and they have proved how ineffective they are yet again.

Secondly, Indian policies go a long way in creating situations like this. At least in the parliament attack, the BJP government took serious offense and had even threatened of war against Pakistan. The tension that it had created shook the international community with fears of a nuclear mishap in the subcontinent triggered all round the world. In contrast, Congress government gave too cold a response to this attack.

One thing we need to learn from Israel is a tit-for-tat policy in dealing with security issues. An attack on Delhi is not just an attack on innocent Delhiites but also one on pride and ego of the complete nation. Its high time India leave the good boy image it is trying to garner and take some drastic steps. What is the use of giving $25 million aid to military dictatorship of terrorist Republic of Pakistan when news come everyday about plight of homeless children and women in Uri sector of our own country? And that also after international organisations have pointed out how Pakistani Army is gulping down international aid.
